StuG III Ausf.B PE Fenders

set contents
The set contains 1 etch brass plate and 1 brass rod. The set is designed to replace the kits moulded top hull fenders. The brass plate detail is well defined, all parts are easily located. The instructions are printed on a double-sided single A4 sheet; all the stages are clear and informative. The brass rod is an excellent addition to the set and adds to the detail.

The set contains 2 full-length fenders, the set is designed to provide a realistic fabricated framework with a tread plate surface, and this replaces the kits bulky & heavy appearance. The main frame work is a one piece part which is easily removed from the main sheet, though you have to take care of the infill sections holding parts for later stages, the bend lines are clearly defined and make folding easier for the modeller. The tread plate is nicely detailed providing a good basis to finish your model in the paint shop.

The fender supports are very well detailed, each support containing 3 parts that when assembled with the addition of the sets brass rod, provide accurately scaled detail. Also on the fret are dozens of small-etched bolt heads that when carefully removed and glued to the fender supports are a nice addition.

Aber has included separate front and rear mud guards that are designed to hinge, a another nice touch allowing for good diorama options.

in conclusion
The set provides the modeller well detailed, scaled reproduction of the StuG III side fenders, this allows good options for modelling battle damage that the kit fails to do. The Aber set is recommended to the more experienced AFV modeller due the complicated assembly and folding required but a must for any StuG fan, a worthy addition to your model! Recommended.
