Introduction:

It’s always nice to have a scenic base for your figure that compliments it. Something that is easy to assemble, high in quality and, most importantly, good looking. So, with that in mind, we have a look at another of Pegaso’s “PegasObjects” releases.

These kits serve the modeler as scenic parts or complete scenes; they are highly detailed resin kits that can be used as scenes for figures, or part of the modeler’s scene construction. This 54mm scale base is sculpted from Christos Apostolopoulos, an upcoming talented sculptor of scenic bases, and represents a “Nordic House”.

Packaging:

The kit comes in the classic 54mm figures box, a sturdy brown colored hard carton box. The colored photographic box-art serves as a painting guide. The box is filled with paper strips as protection for the 3 resin pieces, which are inside a zip locker plastic bag.

The Kit:

The kit consists of 3 pieces: the “dirt” ground part; the front house wall with door; and the door handle. The dimensions of the build kit are 8x4,5 cm for the base and 9cm in height.

Quality:

The kit is really nicely sculpted, and great attention is paid to detail and the definition of the pieces. The wood grain texture is fine and the door and roof part also provide the perfect base for painting.

The casting, done by the Greek company YS Castings – Masterpieces, is absolutely flawless with no air holes or anything else that have to be corrected.

Fit:

The kit is really simple in construction, and it comes together perfectly. I think that the dimensions would allow the positioning of 2 figures side by side on this base.

Conclusion:

One beautiful and different era kit, which will be handy to any level modeler. Provides nice scenery for one or two figures vignette. Highly suggested for all modelers. Take care in colors and smooth painting and you will be “Pegaso Satisfied”!

I started modelling 27 years ago with some 1/72 planes and military vehicles. Soon the diorama bug got into me and with Sheperd Paynes books I dug in. I loved to build dioramas and military vehicles till the Vietnam Era. I don't like modern stuff so much. 4 years ago I had a crush on figure painti...
