Eduard continue with the release of enhancement detailed parts for their newly released Bf 110E. This Brassin release contains a set of resin main wheels and Kabuki paint mask.
All the contents are very well protected in the vac formed blister packaging. The single layer of sponge should stop the resin parts rattling around. The Kabuki paint masks are tucked into the instructions. Inside the packaging is:
-2 x one piece resin wheels.
-1 x small sheet of kabuki paint masks.
The one piece resin slick wheels are beautifully detailed: the brake line [connects to the kits PE part], the gap between the hub and the rim and the structure of the tyres are nicely represented. The latter feature is not on the kit tyres. Half of the outer part of the wheel is attached to the resin block via a thin film of resin. A small part is connected via a thicker stump of resin. So carefully removing the resin and a little clean up should preserve the fine raised detail. These are direct replacement for the two part plastic kit parts.
The paint masks are placed on the tyres to paint the hubs.
Instructions are very straight forward, the black line drawing of the correct position of the wheel is very useful.
The kit contains a choice of two different set of wheels, one slick and the other treaded and the kit wheels are very well detailed. But these resin wheels do offer a wheel with more finesse.
Highs: These resin wheels do offer a wheel with more finesse.Lows: Nothing obvious.Verdict: If you really feel the desire to improve the look of the kit wheels, then these will do nicely.
