finally decided to read through all of Eric's wood grain tutorials. Simply outstanding, easy to follow, and I'm sure the results will produce a more then acceptable wood grain finish for 1st timers. I've used a much simplified process, and still got decent results. Looking forward to tying his full method.

I tried Eric's method as it has the best looking effect. I used it on the wooden propeller blade on a Trumpeter Aerosan. On my first attempt it came out looking very good - it must be fool-proof . I highly recommend this method. If you're anal enough it also works well for wooden tool handles and rifle stocks (in 1/35).
