Back when I was having troubles with my Me410 canopy, I went hat in hand to beg to buy a vac canopy from the only folks who made them, MPM Models. I didn't want to buy the whole interior set, just the precious canopy. I somewhat desperately offered to make my next build one of their kits. Not only did they give me a couple of canopies, they graciously offered me any kit in their catalog. Wow! The choice was not easy- they make a ton of cool stuff- but the Planet Models Ju 388 had long been tempting me- it was fate! A Bomber Command group build at Modelers Alliance is a happy coincidence- and means I've got one year to make the best of it!

Well, MPM- a promise made is a promise kept- here's my take on your marvelous kit- with Fritzi, Hannah and friends along for the ride!

Great.. I enjoyed every single build so far. Have high hopes for this one as well. Chuck, art is simply an understatement of your work... It is quite educational and inspiring as well. Have you ever thought to make a pdf edition or booklet of your builds for us mortals? I would love to have it! It is wonderful to have such modeling mentor... will stay tuned, definitely!!!

Loved your Me410 and very pleased to see you starting another epic build.

Your 410 build is, incidentally, saved on my hard drive for posterity.....just too much education in one thread to ever let slip away.

this is going to be awesome!!!

don't know if it helps: the kit is made of Dragon parts where ever possible. so replacementparts may be found at any revell or dragon Ju 88..........

sincerely

Thanks, everyone! I've been very much looking forward to getting going on this beast- what a subject! I'll be keeping busy with my 1/35 build as well- take a look here, at Armorama: http://armorama.kitmaker.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=SquawkBox&file=index&req=viewtopic&topic_id=167483&page=1

Ralf, I couldn't help but notice that the tailplanes were a match for the Dragon Ju88 G-6 kit. Now I know I can use the Eduard parts and have them match perfectly. Hurray!

Dang, Chuck, this is gonna be another epic (and a lot of work). Resin, riveting, and all the engineering-I think I'd be intimidated by this one. Should be an interesting ride.

This actually scares me a little from trying resin kits, but I love the looks of this subject and could not be more fascinated...

Can't wait to see how the canopy goes on...

The provided engraving looks really professional and top notch, unlike the fit of the tailplanes... Quite an interesting kit.
