My chief just returned from a trip to Germany and he brought me this kit back. Not being a German armor expert, anyone got any thoughts on this kit? It looks really nice, superstructure detailing is very fine.

The decals are rather sparse, 3 German crosses, two white "K"s and a small tactical marking. I have some Afrika Corps decals, did this tank take part there? I figure not since it is called a "late" and markings are for 1944 and 1945.

Any help is appreciated.

If I'm not wrong, this is the DML kit reboxed.
The DML Stugs are supposed to be very good...
As you said, it didn't take part to the battle in North Africa.

I've got the Revell stug40 F, but I haven't started it yet. The only thing I've baught to help the kit are PE engine grills by ABER.

Sorry, being a bit slow today (lack of sleep), I hadn't seen you were talking about the 1/72nd kit...
Yes that's realy a late war model, more suitable for the defense of germany...

the african campaign was over at the introduction of that stug-type in 1944.
as far as i know, this one was the produced series of stug III's.

i think i have to get my spielberger on "sturmgeschütze" to get more input
