Join us for this build-review with video of the NOCH Segment Turntable. NOCH offers a great way to re-route your locomotives in tight spaces without using a cranky 3-way turnout, or shop your loco without a space devouring round turntable. This highly detailed Laser-Cut ready-made model can be used with all H0 track systems and is suitable for both 3 Rail and 2 Rail operation, both in analogue and DCC operation.

Folks who design and build micro layouts for public display frequently use this general sort of device, terming it a sector plate. The Noch version is generally used for running the engine around passenger trains where there is limited yard space, but the micro layout guys will often hide a longer one inside backboard buildings and use them to "switch" complete shot trains. A device called a traverser is used in fiddle yards to move pre-made-up trains to the track that leads to the visible layout. These are often set-up so that electrical power is mechanically connected by fittings on the end of the sliding part and the layout lead.
