Mentioned in this book is the 1940 Japanese film "Burning Sky". Ki-27 was the mechanical star, with great dizzying aerial scenes and mass takeoffs and landings.
One Type 97 survives, recently recovered from crashing into Hakata Bay in 1942. It is now on display at the Tachiarai Peace Museum in Tachiarai, Fukuoka Prefecture.
