Would you know or could you recommend a set of seated crew for a Whiskey NTS Cobra?

Unfortunately, there are none that are accurate for seated USMC pilots. The issue is the helmet. USN and USMC helo pilots use the HGU-84/P helmet.

The standing USN/USMC pilots by Reedoak have this helmet, but no seated figures.

They also do two separate helmets; w/and w/o visor cover.

If you take the helmet from the Reedoak figures and place them on a seated figure, you will be good.

Gino, thank you for keeping this thread updated.

This latest news is just what I've been waiting for, a set of seated crew for my Viper.

Reviews of the Live-Resin H-60 crew and SOF figures for the back. These are awesome figures. I highly recommend them and the other Live-Resin Helo crew and GIBs (Guys In Back) sets.

Looks like the forthcoming Kitty Hawk HH-60G will also come with a crew, PJs, and casualty. They look pretty nice. The M249 SAW is a little dated though. That version hasn't been used since the late '90s. An easy switch with a modern weapon. A door gunner too.

Live-Resin has its new modern helo crew figures available. They include pilots, USAF door gunners, a USAF H-bar Fast Rope rig, and three PJs/SF Operators for the back. All the sets look awesome.

The pilots are wearing AIR WARRIOR SYSTEM (PSGC) vests, HGU-56/P helmets, and contain cyclic and collective grips as well.

The door gunners are wearing AIR WARRIOR SYSTEM (PSGC) vests and HGU-56/P helmets.

The H-bar fast rope set is an older USAF style used on MH/HH-60G Pave Hawks.  It was replaced with the FRIES (Fast Rope Insertion/Extraction System, Army type) starting in the mid-2000's. All USAF HH-60Gs have the FRIES bar now.  It is not appropriate for US Army MH-60Ls.

The three PJs/SF Operators include two seated and one kneeling figure.

Live-Resin has announced a pilot/crew and GIBs (Guys in Back) set for the upcoming Kitty Hawk USAF HH-60G kit. They will also include the USAF FRIES (Fast Rope Insertion/Extraction System) rig that is mounted on the ceiling in the below pic. Hopefully they will offer the pilots/crew chiefs as a separate kit since they could be used in any modern H-60 kit.

Reedoak continues their helo accessories with a vintage SPH-3C helicopter helmet as used by the US Navy, USCG and also many foreign countries from the 70s to late 80s/early 90s era. This is a separate item that was formerly available on their standing USN helo pilot that is featured above.

It would be great a pair of 1/35 seated pilots during Desert Shield / Desert Storm for the MRC AH-1W.

You could use Reedoak's Vietnam -'80s pilots for this. I am not sure what type helmets the USMC helo pilots were wearing at that time though. They may have been the SPH-4 as on the figures. They might have been the same type USN helo pilots were wearing, the SPH-3C as on their new USN helo pilot above though.

You could also use Academy's Vietnam Helo Crew figures or Bravo 6's Vietnam pilots, but with the same concern about the helmets.

Thank you.

...any news about a "figures only" release?

Kitty Hawk has started selling the 6-figure set of two pilots and four operators as a separate item.

This was posted on their Facebook page,

They are on the way, should be, according to the tracking number and Canada Post, delivered tomorrow, the 19th.

Thank you Gino (again & again)

Good deal. Glad it worked out for you. The figures are really nice. Yo will like them a lot.

Reedoak has another Naval rotary wing aviator figure available. This time, a pilot wearing an SPH-3C helmet and SV-2B survival vest which is appopriate for the pilot of any USN helicopter from the 80s or the 90s.

Kitty Hawk has shown a future set of figures for the Littlebird. They include pilots and operators to sit on the planks. They are suposed to be from 3D renderings and look awesome. Hopefully we will see them soon.

Hi Gino, any news about a "figures only" release? I'm not going to buy another chopper with the figures included. Money is way too tight for me to do this

I have felt a certain watering in my mouth. Specially the non pilot crew figures are mind tickleing. I wished they were available in 1/72 too.
