Sounds nice!
Deep in the stash I found something that will fit and ever wanted to be build (aside a 48'th Tamiya F4U-1A for later):
A 1/72 Heller F4U-1D - could be another fun as the time frame fits. So call me in.

well i know that 100 squadron with the RAF has a skull and crossed bones motif that represents their squadron so if this is allowed then i'm in.

David,

As it stands, this campaign is about US Navy squadrons that have carried the Jolly Rogers name, so I don't think an RAF unit will fit the bill. If I see a ground-swell here to open it up to other units or individual aircraft with the skull and crossbones, I'm willing to change my mind, but for now I think not. Sorry!

Unlike my normal practice of posting ribbon ideas to see what people think, I kind of felt like this one was a no-brainer. So this is what I've created:

Hope this is ok with you all. If not, it's the plank for ya!

Id be down, might be a good reason to finally step up to a Tamiya 1/32 F4U

Any reason is a good reason to build that kit! I think it's my favorite Tamiya 1/32 set.

That's 9. Who'll be lucky 10?

You're quite right Joe, sometimes I give up too quickly. I'll leave this one up for a while and see if we get more interest. I'd still love to have this campaign go live!

i would say give some time and come back to it michael. between it being summer and also some may be reluctant because of other campaign commitments. i for one am half way through my raf 100 build and have not even started my mto build yet so even though i would join this one it would be a while before i could get started anyway. maybe others are on the fence because of the similar issues.

Well, we're stuck on six. This one may be a non-starter, I'm afraid. Guess I could always do my Academy F-4J Jolly Roger for the 3rd Generation campaign, but I did kind of have a Jones for the Tamiya 1/48 F-14.

The VF-84/VF-103 is my favorite squadron since I saw 'The last Countdown' as a kid. So I'm in. Maybe with a Super Hornet from Hasegawa.

One more bump to see if we can get this one off the ground. Come on, everyone. Jolly Rogers!
