Hello! My name is Courtney and i am 9 years old.
I met Mal (Holdfast) who told me i should join up at the IPMS show at Telford, which i went too with my Dad (betheyn).
I've built an Airfix 1/72 Churchill tank and some dinosaurs. This is me holding my first 1/35 tank. It is a Russian Sherman.

My Dad will help me put in progress pics in.
Thanks Courtney
P.S I have introduced myself on the main site as well.

Hi again Courtney,
Glad you have found this site as well. I will be getting some finishing touches on it done this weekend (I hope) and then we should be off and running.

Do any of your school friends build models?

Cheers,
Jim

Hi Courtney welcome to Armorama.
It was great to talk to you at the show and I'm very much looking forward to seeing your sherman when you have built it.
You are the first person to post here, other than myself and Jim (Jim Starkweather is the owner and creator of this wonderful site). This is all new and we need to know what you and other youngsters would like to see here. If you have any ideas please let me know, you can PM (private message) me, you will see a "message" button at the bottom of each members reply, click that and it will open a box for you to type a message to that person. When the envelope at the top left of the page is lit, you have a message. Or post on here, which is usually the best place, as others can see and will give feed back.
If you have any problems about the site please get in touch and we can sort it out for you.

Hello Jim and Mal. I hope this site get's as popular as Armorama. I'm afraid none of my school friends are interested in models. I'm going to build some more of my Sherman today.

Hi Courtney,
We also hope it gets popular, your school friends don't know what they are missing. Can't wait to see pics of your Sherman, are you able to take pics as you build it? If you make some notes as you build you might be able to write a small build article (see PM).

Hi Courtney,

I remember a young lady from Birmingham who started just like you. Her dad taught her all she knew and she eventually won just about every trophy you can think of. Enjoy the hobby and build because you want to.
